Always Something

Well, Izze spent the last week quite sick. Drew and I both spent some time at home with her. I have to say sometimes when a toddler is sick it can be enjoyable. I loved that she wanted to snuggle up with mommy and watch a movie. Finally I feel as if she is on the up and up and then BANG, Drew is sick now. I am hoping his is short-term, I'm not sure if I can hold him for too long on my lap : )
Anyways....Izze had a nice weekend with mommy and daddy, here are a few pictures of the fun.

Phew

Well I finally sat down and relaxed for the first time in over 3 weeks. I don't remember what it feels like to be home with my family, with nothing to do but watch football and color pictures with Izze. Today began Catholic Schools Week, we kicked it off with an open house. I couldn't believe how busy we were the entire time. I am hoping we have a bunch of new families enrolling soon.
I think Izze has finally caught up on some sleep, she slept over 13 hours last night and took a 2 hour nap this afternoon. Tomorrow our plan is to make some sugar cookies together. It will be special mommy and Izze time.
In the meantime, enjoy some pictures from the wedding last weekend. I hope to get some pictures from yesterday's wedding up soon.

Crazy Busy

So today begins 2 weeks of sheer craziness. Today we have a wedding shower for my cousin who is getting married the 23rd of January. Next Friday the 15th is my cousin Emily's rehearsal dinner followed by the wedding on Saturday. I usually wouldn't be so nervous and uptight, but Isabel is going to be the flower girl in Emily's wedding. I have been working with her for months practicing walking slowly and smiling "pretty" not "silly". At times Izze thinks she is the one getting married, but I will have to explain all of that to her later. On Sunday, we have tickets to Laurie Berkner, which "Santa" brought Izze for Christmas. For those of you who do not know who Laurie Berkner is, you must not have a toddler. I would have to say she is the Raffi of the 2010. Then on the 22nd of January I am going to OPRAH, yes you heard it right OPRAH. I am taking my mom, mother-in-law and great friend Naomi. After Oprah, we have my cousin James wedding on the 23rd, and my schools open house on the 24th. Finally the last week of January is Catholic Schools Week, so I will stay quite busy with plenty of school activities. I guess I can breath again in February, no wait, then I will begin my plans for little miss Izze's big 3rd birthday. Phew

On to new things

Well, this is my first official blog. I decided to give this a try seeing Izze is going to be turning three and my baby webpage is getting filled to the max. I truly enjoy sharing with everyone the amazing enjoyment that Isabel brings Drew and I on a daily basis. I cannot believe she is a month away from turning 3, where has time gone? It feels like yesterday we were decorating her room and anticipating her arrival. The past 3 years have been the best years of my life. I don't remember what life was like before Izze, nor do I know how I functioned without her daily kisses and smiles.
Well, I hope you will tune in often and leave me comments if you wish. I would love to know what you think.
